Seattle charter bus accident on Capitol Hill | Seattle bus accident attorney

Two charter buses carrying approximately 80 students slid down a steep and icy road in Capitol Hill area of Seattle and crashed through a concrete wall and metal rail.  The front end of the buses dangled precariously 30 feet above the northbound lanes of I-5.

The bus drivers decided to travel down East Thomas Street approaching Melrose Avenue East and made a bad decision to attempt to navigate the slippery road which could have resulted in much more serious injuries if the buses had crashed down onto Interstate 5.

Tamera Vasquez, Stephanie Jackson, Talkeetna Setuckmarie, Zachary Blackburn, Nicole Maxie, and Dean Short were some of the passengers on the buses which were operated by Northwestern Trailways.  They and other students were involved in the Columbia Basin Job Corps program based in Moses Lake, Washington and were on their way back to the bus station for transport home when the bus accident occurred.
