Accidents on I-5 Shut Down Traffic | Everett Car Accident Lawyer

Two accidents on Interstate 5 near Bellingham shut down traffic for four hours, reports King 5 News.

At approximately 8:00 a.m. this morning, a tanker flipped over after hitting another vehicle while traveling northbound near Lakeway Drive.  The tanker was carrying liquid nitrogen, which created a vapor cloud that covered the freeway for approximately 20 minutes.  With minor injuries, the tanker driver was taken to the hospital.  Northbound lands stayed closed for four hours until 12:00 p.m., while the southbound lanes reopened about an hour after the accident.

The second accident, which occured in the southbound lanes at Sunset Drive, involved a semi-truck and shut down southbound lanes for about an hour.  There were no reported injuries following the accident.
