Arrest Results after Pierce County Crash | Tacoma Car Accident Attorney

The News Tribune reported that a crash just north of the SR 512 overpass on Canyon Road E. resulted in a man suffering injuries and another arrested last Friday evening.

According to witness reports, a man driving a Hummer in the left turn lane on Canyon Road was traveling approximately 60-70 miles per hour when he swipped another car on the driver's side.  The impact caused to Hummer to spin out of control and hit another vehicle.  The second vehicle the Hummer hit was being driven by a 55 year old man from Puyallup.  He suffered contusions and a collapsed lung and was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center for treatment.

The crash occurred near 104th Street East, and the driver of the Hummer wasn't found until he reached 112th Street East.  The driver was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and felony hit and run.  Pierce County sheriff's deputies also suspect the driver had been drinking.
