Komo News reported Bremerton man Leslie Harrison was injured when attacked by dogs in his front driveway earlier this week.
Harrison was in his bedroom dressing when two strange dogs he had never seen before caught his eye. They had gotten into his home when Harrison had left the front door open for some fresh air. Harrison immediately called 9-1-1 and waved his arms to make himself look big, which only aggravated the already aggressive dogs.
Harrison dressed and was going down his driveway to warn a neighbor when he was knocked down by three dogs. Before the
Kitsap County animal control officers arrived at the scene, Harrison was viciously attacked by two pit bulls and a black Labrador. By the time he made it inside his home, Harrison had suffered nine puncture wounds from the attack and being knocked down.
Harrison treated at a local hospital while the three dogs were taken into custody by animal control officers.
Kitsap County's animal policy requires dogs involved in attacks to be quarantined for up to ten days- which the owner's can petition to serve the time inside the home. The county policy also carries a $40 per day, per dog cost for quarantine. For the three dogs involved in Harrison's attack to be quarantined the complete 10 days, it will cost the owner $1,200 to reclaim them.
