Everett Sound Transit bus accident injures pedestrian | Everett personal injury attorney
A 44-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured by a Sound Transit bus in Everett on February 20, 2009 at the intersection of Pacific and Wetmore Avenues just before 5 pm. It was not clear if the Everett man was in the crosswalk at the time of the bus accident, and Everett police will review a bus-camera video to help determine the cause of the accident.
The man was taken to Providence Medical Center in Everett and then airlifted later to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was recovering.
There are many facts and circumstances that may affect whether an injured pedestrian can file a claim against the driver of the bus. Whether the pedestrian was in the marked or unmarked crosswalk, whether there was a pedestrian traffic control device, lighting conditions, weather conditions, visibility of the pedestrian, point of impact of the collision, attention of the driver, etc.
