Fatal West Seattle Motorcycle Accident Caused By Left Turn

A Washington man was killed in a West Seattle motorcycle accident on Wednesday night at the intersection of 35th Avenue South and South Juneau Street.

According to Seattle Police and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the motorbike accident took place at 9:30 p.m. when a car turned in front of the oncoming motorcycle, which was driving on 35 Avenue South. The biker slammed into the broad side of the vehicle and the rider was thrown from his bike and onto the pavement. The man was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in downtown Seattle, where he died of a traumatic brain injury. No one else was injured in the wreck.

While a witness has reported that the motorcycle may have been speeding, it is unclear whether the bike rider caused the crash or whether the other vehicle didn’t see the bike and turned in front of the motorcyclist.
