On December 14, 2008, a 1997 Chrysler driven by an 18-year-old Tacoma man swerved off southbound Interstate 5 near Seattle onto the shoulder where it crashed into the back of a Washington State Patrol car that stopped to assist another vehicle on the shoulder. The crash pushed the WSP patrol car forward into the car that had slid into the guardrail, a 1987 BMW.
The driver and passenger of the Chrysler, and the WSP trooper were all injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The driver of the Chrysler was charged with vehicular assault since the car accident involved serious injuries and driving under the influence (DUI). Other factors included speeding and light snow on the highway.
The Seattle car accident attorney at the Andrew Kim Law Firm, PLLC handles car crashes against drunk drivers and aggressively pursues insurance claims against the responsible driver and bar, tavern, or other drinking establishment that may have over-served the intoxicated driver (dram shop claim).
