I-90 Bridge Closure for Seafair Weekend | Seattle Car Accident Attorney

Prepare for extra delays crossing Lake Washington this weekend, as King 5 News reports Interstate 90 will see closures Thursday through Sunday to allow for the practices and performances of the Blue Angels for this weekend's famous Seafair.

Practice times for the F/A-18 Hornets are Thursday between 10:00 a.m. and noon then again from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Interstate 90 will be closed from Mercer Island at Island Crest Way to the Interstate 5 interchange from 9:45 a.m. until noon then again from 1:15 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.  The express lanes on Thursday will close at 9:00 a.m. and reopen to eastbound traffic at 3:30 p.m.

The Blue Angels will perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.  For the performances, Interstate 90 will close again at 12:45pm until 2:40 p.m.  Friday though Sunday, the express lanes will close at 10:45 a.m. and will reopen to eastbound traffic at 3:30 pm.

These closures are for all vehicles traveling on Interstate 90.  For bicyclists and pedestrians, the I-90 bridge will close approximately up to 30 minutes before the above listed times.

Metro bus routes have been rerouted to Highway 520 wil shuttle services between Mercer Island and South Bellevue park and ride lots during the above times.  For more information on the Metro reroutes, go to their website.
