Working as a Seattle motorcycle accident lawyer
and at a Bellevue Personal Injury Law Firm
, I am fully aware that motorcyclists are at a much higher risk of being seriously injured in a accident with a car.
Motorcyclists are usually pinned with the fault of an accident, but in many cases it is actually the fault of a negligent car driver. Three factors play a role in serious injuries that result from motorcycle accidents: time of year, wearing a helmet, and distracted car drivers. Check out our motorcycle FAQ's
or my educational blogs
for more information about motorcycle accidents. Motorcycle drivers are at a higher risk for serious injuries, so it is extremely important for both car drivers and motorcycle riders be aware of their surroundings
reports a crash Tuesday night left a motorcyclist critically injured.
On the 4200 block of Auburn Way N
., a woman driving a truck was pulling into a local Mexican restaurant when she was broadsided by a motorcyclist. The impact was strong enough to push the truck onto its side, causing both vehicles to burst into flames.
After bystanders pulled the motorcyclist out of the burning flames, he was rushed to the hospital- his injuries life threatening. The woman driving the truck was not injured.
