A motorcyclist was killed and another car driver was critically injured in a crash involving two cars and two motorcycles on October 1, 2008, on State Route 20
near milepost 70, three miles east of Sedro-Woolley
Investigators from Washington State Patrol believe the driver of a Toyota pickup truck traveling east on Highway 20 crossed over the center line and smashed into an oncoming Buick sedan and continued into two oncoming motorcycles before crashing into a ditch.
The driver of the first motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of a Buick sedan was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The condition of the second motorcycle driver was not known.
The pickup driver was was arrested for investigation of vehicular homicide since alcohol was involved.
