As reported by the Maple Leaf Life
, the remains of Heather Lerch's vehicle was on display Monday and Tuesday at Northgate Mall to show what can happen as a result of texting and driving.
Just over a year ago, former Centralia College
student Lerch was texting while driving when she crashed into a guardrail and was instantly killed. She was just 3 miles from her home.
Lerch's parents created the website Heather's Story
as a result of her tragic accident. The campaign was designed to discourage texting and driving. They released her vehicle remains as a display to show the dangers of texting while driving.
