66 year old Roger Hershner was killed in a helicopter crash in a field in central near Moundridge, Kansas.  He was piloting the helicopter from Washington to Virginia to perform contract work for the U.S. Forest Service.  The cause of the crash is still under investigation and unknown at this point.  Weather and fuel have been ruled out as a possible cause of the accident.  No other passengers were on board.
