Rocky Ottow, 34, was killed in a car accident on Saturday while his father watched in his rear view mirror, reported King 5 News.

While traveling a Ford Explorer eastbound on Highway 2 with his 3 children, a Chevy Astro van traveling in the opposite direction lost a wheel.  The driver of the van, Tim Beeman, said he was driving then all of a sudden his car started shaking.

"Five seconds later a wheel flies off..I see the wheel head straight up to the sky," Beeman described.

Rocky was able to swerve to avoid the lost wheel, but swerved into oncoming traffic and was hit by a 31 year old man driving a Yukon.

In the meantime, Rocky's father, Lawrence, was driving in front of him and saw the crash happen in his rear view mirror.

Rockey was killed.  His 11 year old son was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center while is 8 year old son and 6 year old daughter were not injured.

The driver of the Yukon and his 2 children were not hurt.
