Three Brothers Killed in Yakima Jeep Accident On US 12

The Seattle Times reported that A Sunday, August 3 Washtington State car accident near Rimrock Lake on U.S. Highway 12 left three brothers dead. The crash, which took place in Naches, Washington, on Sunday afternoon, took place when a Jeep Wrangler carrying six people turned into an oncoming Ford Explorer towing a boat.

Washington State Patrol reports that the 21-year-old driver, Roman Abundiz, along with two of his brothers, 15-year-old Raul and 11-year-old Fernando, died in the Naches car accident. The other Jeep occupants, including 43-tear-old Rosa P. Abundiz, 22-year-old Yesenia Verduzco Sanchez and 21-year-old and Rogelio Benavidez Ramirez, were rushed by emergency workers to Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center.

The Ford Explorer was also carrying six passengers, all hailing from Kennewick, Washington. Four of the Ford's occupants were also injured in the Naches intersection accident. The driver of the Ford, 32-year-old Daniel Leach, was among the injured.
