A bicyclist who suffered head injuries after she was struck by a Toyota Prius Wednesday morning in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood died early Friday in Harborview Medical Center.  Carol Salomon was a University of Washington faculty lecturer specializing in the Bengali language, in the Department of Asian Languages and Literature.

The bike accident happened at the intersection of North 56th Street and First Avenue Northeast in Seattle just before 10:30 a.m.  According to the police, the cyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
