When the weather starts to get nicer in Seattle, we usually see an increase in motorcycle riders on the road.  I am aware, sfter working as a Bellevue motorcycle accident lawyer and at a Seattle personal injury law firm, that motorcyclists are at a much higher risk of being seriously injured in a accident with a car.

King 5 News reported today that Washington State Patrol trooper Lance Ramsay of Snohomish was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Snohomish County on Tuesday.

Ramsay, 41, was thrown from his motorcycle when he ran into the back of a Kia minivan that was waiting behind another vehicle to make a left turn.

The trooper, who is still in intensive care, was transported by ambulance to a local Everett hospital with broken ribs and injuries to his back and face.  He was later transported to Harborview Medical Center.  The investigation as to the cause of the accident is still ongoing.
