No.  Motorcycles are exempt from insurance.  State law requires operators of cars and trucks to have insurance, but the  chapter that covers insurance does not govern the operation of a motorcycle.  See  RCW 46.30.020 , and read the state's definition of a motorcycle  here .
   Motor-driven cycles   and   mopeds   are also not governed by the insurance chapter.
