How to file a complaint against the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner

If you are having problems with your insurance company regarding claim denials, premium increases, claim delays or poor service and want to file a complaint to the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner, fill out their .pdf form and send to:

You can also submit your claim online on their website.

In your complaint, be a specific as possible and provide any supporting documentation in paper (no audio or visual materials). On average, expect your claim to be completed within 30 days from when the Commissioner receives your original complaint. If your claim is more complex or there are unique problems, it could possibly take longer.
