My friend had an accident and I was a passanger he hit a parked car and light pole.

My friend got cut off an hit a parked car & light pole, I went through the window i have 19 stitches in my face and mouth i also lost teeth he has insurance (Geico) and i already got a hospital bill, He's not paying for my bills and i can't afford it, What can i do about this?

Andrew's answer:

There's two parts to your question. First, I agree that you should file a claim under your friend's insurance for medical coverage, PIP or MedPay, if he has it. If he doesn't then you would file under your own car insurance PIP or MedPay.

You also have a uninsured (UM) claim if the vehicle that cut you off left the scene and unidentified. This would also be under your friend's policy if he has this coverage. If not, then your own UM coverage would apply.
