Car Accident Report: Puyallup Car Accident Leaves Injured Driver

The following is a description of the accident and injuries of a former Andrew Kim Law Firm client. *Initials are used to protect the identities of the parties involved.


On July 15, 2009, NS was driving to work westbound on Valley Avenue E. While traveling approximately 35 miles an hour, NS looked in the rear view mirror and saw another vehicle quickly approaching. NS was then rear-ended by LD, who was traveling at approximately 60 miles and hour. NS swerved for some time before regaining control of the vehicle and was able to come to a complete stop. There was extensive damage to the rear-end of NS's vehicle, to the front of LD's vehicle and considerable damage to a semi-trailer that was parked on the side of the road. After colliding with NS, LD then swerved and hit a semi-trailer owned by WK.

Along with the property damage to the vehicle, NS also sustained back, leg and elbow injuries. There were also out of pocket expenses from replacing car seats that were in the vehicle as well as prescribed medications. NS missed unpaid hours from work to be added on to the claim as a wage loss claim.

NS treated with their primary care physician then began regular massage therapy and chiropractic treatment.

Unfortunately, LD did not have insurance.
