A family is mourning after a young Seattle mother was struck and killed by two different hit-and-run motorists while crossing the street on Friday night. Tukwila Police reported that 24-year-old Clashana Grayson of Seattle was crossing East Marginal Way South toward a bar called The Annex at around 11 PM when a car struck her in the road way. The woman, who has a 7-year-old child, rolled on to the hood of the car and then back in to the street. Just seconds later, witnesses say another car ran over the body without stopping.
The Seattle woman was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, but died of her Washington pedestrian accident injuries.
A witness to the pedestrian accident said that Grayson had just gotten off of a bus when a speeding dark red Cadillac hit her in the street. The car paused before leaving the scene of the WA pedestrian accident. The second car, which the witness said could have been a silver, older-model Honda Civic, also did not stop at the scene after striking the woman. Family of Grayson say that they don’t know why she was in Tukwila or where she was going, though it seemed that she was going to The Annex.
Police are looking for any information on this Tukwila pedestrian hit-and-run. Investigators say that collected a piece of one of the cars from the scene and are analyzing that evidence for more facts about the case. Call 206-433-1808 if you have any information.
