Last week, 37-year-old Christopher Robertson was killed in a motorcycle accident in South Seattle after taking a curve too fast while attempting to merge onto Interstate 5. According to the Seattle Times, the Seattle man was trying to take the ramp onto I-5 when he struck a barrier and was ejected from his bike and over the overpass. He fell 50 feet onto the shoulder of the interstate below.
In another serious Washington State motorcycle accident, an Omak man injured his leg and chest when traveling on a dirt road in Riverside. The crash took place on a narrow country road on a blind curve, when 47-year-old Christopher Bowling struck a pickup truck head on while riding his motorcycle. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center and should recover from his injuries.
Finally, on Highway 101 in Sequim, 22-year-old Spencer Phillips and another motorcycle rider attempted to evade a police officer who attempted to pull them over. The riders sped down the road, passing illegally, at speeds above 100 miles per hour before Phillips crashed into a pickup truck. He was also taken to a Seattle hospital, where he is in stable condition. Charges are pending for that motorcycle accident, according to the Washington State Patrol.
